Melbourne, FL |
Weather unpleasant. 20 knot North wind
on the nose all the way, current against us. Planned on anchoring
off Sebastian but decided to find a marina instead. Melbourne Harbor
Marina was pleasant and reasonable. Had dinner at Ichabod's. Nice
ending to a tough day. |

Titusville, FL |
Day started out tricky, with a soft
grounding in the marina channel. Rocked our way out and continued.
Weather much more pleasant, mostly sunny. Made good time today.
Titusville City Marina was a disembarking challenge as it has low
floating docks. But teeming with Manatees. Katreena's first, and
the puppies didn't know what to make of the big boulders with the
snouts. Strolled to Azteca Mexican restaurant and had an okay meal. |

New Smyrna Beach, FL |
Greeted by heavy fog but it broke in
time for our exit. Several sailboats and trawlers joined us. Another
soft grounding on the edge of the channel at the top of Mosquito
Lagoon. Managed to get off but the depth sounder is about to be
replaced. Otherwise pleasant. Slip was occupied when we got to
Fishin' Store Marina. After two hours of waiting we finally tucked
in for the night. Dinner at Merk's. |

Cleaning day. Pat and Joanne Ballenger
arrived aboard Maui mid-afternoon. Docked at Riverview Hotel. Picking
us up and taking us to Bill and Patsy Bolling's for dinner tonight.
Very nice dinner and company. |

Palm Coast, FL |
Nasty, rainy day. Katreena stayed below
while the captain got soaked. Great scenery, though, when I could
raise my head long enough to look. Doug and Deb joined us for the
next leg of our cruise. Mexican food for dinner and general relaxation. |

St. Augustine, FL |
Set out early but turned out to be
a stormy day, with a cold front passing through. Deb and Katreena
stayed below, missing some nice scenery. Got a good look at Fort
Matanzas. Arrived at Camachee Cove safe and sound. Nice dinner
at A1A AleWorks. |

Fernandina Beach, FL |
Pleasant, warm day. Long cruise by
Jacksonville, which there was very little sign of from the ICW.
A few tricky shallows but overally quite pleasant trip. Tucked
into the face dock of Fernandina Harbor Marina and had a nice shoreside
stroll. Irish grub for dinner. |

St. Simons Island, FL |
Very pleasant cruise through the ICW.
Quiet, serene surroundings. All marshes with a bit of civilization
here and there. LM is now in her summer home at Golden Isles Marina. |
